New bus to build!

Hey all,
I just bought my 2001 International RE 3000 school bus.
T444E, Allison 3060.
The plan is full conversion for mostly off grid living.
Roof Raise.
Heated floors.
Fire place.
Bunk beds.
I'm going to try and document most if not all of my conversion.
Any and all comments are welcome. Good and bad.
Thanks!

Cool, welcome can't wait to see the floor plan and the plans to raise the roof wondering if you're going to keep a lot of Windows for the panoramic view or are you going to eliminate most of the windows.

I don't have any floor plans yet besides things I've sketched out. I'll have to post some pictures of those.
I'll probably keep less than half of the windows to help with insulation but I'd definitely like to have a wonderful view while having breakfast. So dining area and into the kitchen area will have most of the windows. Small one in the bathroom shower. And a couple in the Master.
I'd like to have sky lights but it'll be hard since they will compete with roof top deck and solar system on top.
I've seen a few methods for raising the roof. Im not entirely sure who did it but the most attractive method for me is the "Transendence" skoolie on YouTube. Welded braces with adjustable nuts on threaded bar internally and 2 ton jacksfront and back for lifting.

I'm raising the roof on my 01 Amtran RE the way Transcendence did. It was the best way I could find as well. My brackets are welded in already and I'll be picking up the steel I need to make the extensions on Friday. Woo hoo! Almost to the good part! I'm so sick of removing rivets, lol

That's the method I used. Works like a charm- easy peasy.
Post up some pics when you can!

We're photo documenting it as we go. I'll definitely get some pics posted once it looks like more than just a bus with missing windows[emoji106]
