I bet that's a cool skoolie...back in the 80s I saw a skoolie in Arizona with a vw on top...hopefully you'll post more pics...

MORE PIX!!! Gotta love that old Dodge front clip but it is much earlier than the '53 Chevy behind it. What year? Looks to be the same vintage as my Chevy...1946.

Engine is not original, not sure what vehicle it came out of, the guy I got it from says it's from the 60s. V8, 283 though. Getting a 2nd battery hooked up for an inverter. Wood burning stove came with luckily. Put in a gas stove/oven. Just bought small propane 12 volt fridge, 40 gallon water tank, 6 gallon water heater. Been doing much work to inside

I hope so too, it does seem solid. Haven't been able to drive it. Brakes and clutch and rear end need attention too. This bus sat in a barn for 30 years so it does need much love.

I had 283 in a 65...the shifter sucked[emoji20]...lost it because of budget...and family scraped it[emoji35]...really old history now...need to real careful about dark corners...heck, I'd bomb it for bugs...just me though

If the frame is a '53 Chevy, a 4 or 6BT Cummins would slide in there nicely and make for a great, long lived and economical power-plant. But hey...I am a bit of a Cummins freak.

You are fortunate to own a post war bus. The frame does not narrow down in front (like mine) and will accommodate darn near any motor short of a D-16 Cat. Make it how you want it but please keep the pix coming. Love the looks of that old Dodge front end.
