New member seeking advice

I would like to live full time in a skoolie. I'm in Connecticut. I'm not very mechanical, & my main concern is how I can maintain the engine & keep a bus running, without spending a fortune.

Depends on your definition of "fortune". An oil change is typically measured by the gallon. Tires are $1600 a set for chinese no-name generics.
But the engines are usually pretty simple and there's plenty of info out there. Educate yourself on school bus engines and figure out what you want/need in a bus. You CAN do it.

Thank you

How often should oil be changed, when you drive infrequently?

I'm no "official source" but I'll be doing mine once per year or every 6000 miles, whichever comes first.
I run cheap oil from Rural King that comes in 5 gallon buckets for around $30. Hard to beat that price!
