New Semi-Noob reporting for duty.

Semi-Noob from Maine

Hi,
Here I am...still plagued by the desire to roam around in an old school bus like a do-it-yourself vagabond.
I once purchased a 40 foot GM RTS bus powered by ahealthy, screaming Detroit 8V71 from Uncle Sam for $600.00 and change. Jumped in and drove it home from Cape Cod to Maine and loved every minute of the drive but ended up selling it to someone who wanted it WAY more than I did.
There remains some twisted attraction to school buses.
I work as a heavy truck mechanic/trailer mechanic/fabricator/and almost anything else you can think of. If it's broken, I have probably fixed one t one time or another.
Looking forward to seeing all the great ideas here and maybe even getting off my butt and building one myself.
Happy New Year all,
Jeff
