New to the Skoolie World!

Hello!

We are a married couple in NE Wisconsin who are finally diving head first into the skoolie world. We have done months of research and understand what we are getting into. We are excited to share our bus and eventually the remodel when done!

About the Bus:

Originally from Kentucky, partially converted by the previous owner (Only 2 owners: School district and the person we bought it from)
Came with all original paperwork including the factory build sheet listing all equipment and accessories installed! Everything on the bus works as well. And the bus is rust free.

1999 International AMTRAN RE3000 (3091 per build sheet)
DT466E HT 230hp - 660 ft-lbs tq, Allison MD3060
105 gal fuel tank
Air Ride Suspension
147000 miles

I drove it just over 500 miles home and it ran great. It had no problem on the highway and I easily maintained 70 mph @ 2300 rpm.

Let us know what you think of the bus!

I like it a lot!

It's really cool that you've found one someone already started. So, if you wanted to do some camping even now, you could do it. Right?

Have you decided what your plans are for this bus?

Congratulations! That is a great rig you have there.

I think I remember seeing that one listed, perhaps on FB marketplace or CL. The stripes on the side ring a bell.

Good luck and keep us posted with your build

@WoodenYouKnowIt Yes we could go right away if we wanted!

We are going to be making this into our home for the road. We plan on using it to travel the US.

@Yukon thanks!

@Willie -thanks muchX you probably saw it in CL. I flew down to Louisville and they picked me up. Great couple that owned it before us. Paid $6000, which I think is a good deal seeing I’ve lost so many other auctions on these. I see that you were bidding on bus 205 in AZ. I was too, but LAMays won that for $7761...which I made him pay more for lol ....he kept bidding me up and I was pissed so I made him pay.
