Newbie From Florida

Hey folks! I'm a newbie from Florida, and I am VERY excited to join this community! We (The Two Of Us) are looking to buy a used school bus and convert it into an RV which we will be using 6 months out of the year for traveling between Florida and Alaska and visiting MANY states in between. We are AVID campers, and LOVE to be out in nature (When the weather is good ) and enjoy new experiences. We have 3 1/2 years to finish this project, so, we will be taking our time and trying to do things the right way. We want to be able to pass our SKOOLIE down to our children for them to enjoy long after we are no longer physically able to enjoy it. I'm honored to be amongst such knowledgeable and generous people. Just be warned that we will have LOTS OF QUESTIONS! I will apologize in advance for that. We want to build our SKOOLIE in such a way that we could live on and off the grid with ease. We want to incorporate solar panels and a wood burning stove as well as have the option of using the incorporated heating system. We will also be incorporating a composting toilet on board, so, we will have no use for a "Black Tank." ALL ADVICE is welcomed and appreciated! Thank you.

Hello, nice to see more folks from FL.
I'm in Lake County, just outside of Apopka. What part of the state are you two in?
