Newbie from Michigan

Hello all. My wife and I have decided to become Skoolie's here in the near future. Looking for a decent bus to convert close to Detroit. I see tons of them around the year 2004 selling for about 5k. Want to get the biggest one possible. Looking forward to reading all the posts.

Not yet. Still in the planning and window shopping stage. I’m aiming for a May/June acquisition if I find the right bus.

Nice! If you’re anywhere near Westland, would we be able to come and see your bus? My wife’s blind, so explaining this with descriptions only goes so far. She’s being surprisingly supportive of my obsession, but being able to maneuver through and touch a converted bus would likely help alleviate her concerns.

Very cool! Congratulations on nearing completion. I’ll definitely be biting the work off in pieces, since the whole project is overwhelming when looked at as a complete project. Can’t wait to see your bus!

Nice, congratulations! It’s good to know that real people in Michigan are doing these conversions.
