Hey Tori, welcome! I have a 1991 4 window Ford E350 cutaway with a 7.3L engine and I love it (now) after a rough patch in the beginning. The main thing I remember from the shopping phase is that not al diesel engines were created equal. Some are not great on the highway, for example. Make sure you do your research.

Welcome to the site.....it is a fantastic resource for what you're planning.
The more time you can spend reading will be paid back tenfold as you go through the process of buying and building.

It WILL be a huge project. If you start feeling overwhelmed, just break it down into smaller 1-or-2-day tasks and keep remembering your end goals. Good luck!

Hello, welcome to the forum and fun.
Do lots of reading here, it will save you money and aggravation, or atleast it did with me.
Don't get in a big hurry to just get any bus, take your time.

Welcome to the forum! I am from NC as well and although I bought my bus a year ago, I haven't been able to do much to it because of work and life. Things have finally settled down so I am hoping this spring to jump on mine.

I hope you find the right bus for you and look forward to the build progress! Like everyone says, read everything you can.. don't believe it all because there are quite a few opinions, but reading will give you a better understanding for sure!

Good luck!!

James

If shopping for buses in NC be very picky. Lots of their buses are low spec and almost all their buses are geared for going 45-50 mph.

THey also only seem to sell them when they're REALLY old and/or major drivetrain problems.

YEah most of the NC buses I've seen were pretty old and had lots of use.
