Hello Skoolie Crews!

My family of 3 and Border Collie are looking to join the Skoolie life! Tired of the rat race and getting back to nature and a more simpler but adventure filled life is our goal! We are currently in Sooke, BC just outside Victoria, BC.

We would greatly appreciate anyone's expert wisdom on picking a bus that can handle rough roads. We like to back country hike and backpack and often find ourselves on rough logging roads. We do plan on highway travel as well but I've gotten lost in all the bus types and am in info overload!!
So question: is there any one type of bus or style ie. bullnose or flat nosed, engine or transmission set up that might be best suited to these conditions?

We have been looking to get a bus already converted or partially converted as we work full time and with a toddler it'll be tricky finding time for a full build before the kid goes to college! We may need to buy the right bus and then hire someone but will see what the journey unfolds.

Can't wait to get out there but we know we have work to do first!!!
Thank you and looking forward to your advice!
