Noobs in NC

The huz and I decided we want to do a school bus conversion. A few years ago I bought a 1974 FJ 40, tore it apart, upgraded and put it back together in our gravel yard. It was a heckuva thing to take her rock climbing.
My build thread is over on the ih8mud forum, LMK if you want to see her.

So we have not decided on anything in particular yet, other than we want a shortbus of some sort. Our daughter graduates highschool in 2019 and we want to get on the road as soon as shes out the door..(mostly because my huz is quite sure Im going to lose my mind when she leaves LOL)

The first part of any plan for us consists of me doing all the background information - so Ill be creeping around here looking at different builds, known issues and what to look for when buying.

The huz is mechanics and a builder perfectionist so we should be good. Now Im off to find the FAQ for starters

Welcome to the forum! Lots of really nice folks on here for sure.
How big you looking for?
I've got a couple nice "blank slates" for sale. A shorty and a 40 footer with roof raise.

Ive actually looked at your shorty. Its perfect and for a worthwhile cause - (Im 6 years cancer clean myself!)

We arent quite ready to buy until spring - the huz is with work until the new year and then we will be buying. As much as yours looks perfect, I hope, for the cause - it sells before we are ready!!
