with the amount I spend on my sleddogs, I could easily lease a new Caddie and have money to spend in change, but Caddies don't jump up, lick you on your face and tell you they think you're the best person on earth - lol

LOL and thats precisely why I dont have dogs... I admire those that are dog people.. but im not one of them.. LOL...



I tend to deal better with machines.. hence why I have a business of building high tech networks, phone systems, and VoIP.. of which im the designer / programmer / tech guy and not the customer service rep lol
ha!



Dogs are a lot of fun to watch in the snow..

Dogs are a lot of fun to watch in the snow..
we all need a passion to stay healthy and connected - my sleddogs have taught me more about getting along with family, employees, and the general public than 2 sessions of Dale Carnegie course - they've kept me physically and mentally active - I'm 80 now and still driven - lol

They are automatic snow chains on a reel, they drop down and spin under the tire to get traction like a snow chain around the tire.

I have never actually used the auto chains. They did come stock on my bus originally. The school district removed them because they were ineffective in heavy snow. They also said the upkeep and maintenance were simply not worth it. They were of the opinion that if you needed chained up to just use good “normal” truck chains.

biggest problem l find is glare ice steep hills

My schoolie is from Wi. He had moderate rust. 1997 BB. Driver side rear wheel well had to be redone and a piece of metal on the same wall.
Easy to fab and do.
Yours looks better than mine did. So not too bad at all

feelin' feisty today since dealing with a bunch of morons wasting my time.


Now I'm bored since I now still don't have what I need to move forward with my rig overhaul.



So I thought I'd poke at you guys with rust.


here's my rust problems. been collecting pics of rust...

It totally blows my mind what you guys up north call "rebuildable". to me, when the body starts rusting, it's time for a new vehicle. The other stuff bolts in and out. Grinding, cutting , oshpho. Phew! But the results impress me, I gotta say.



The pics:

The one in the body is the one that scares me. That'll turn to cancer. That was from an aftermarket circular reflector on the side of the bus skirt. The others were stick-on.


The lighting fixture is under the wheelchair door. I plan on replacing it with a brighter LED unit (along with the reverse lights that are the same type fixture) especially as the bulb-socket is bent a bit and the bulb rubs the plastic cover and melts it. So no worries on that.


Then condensation from the cold rain this winter rusted my exhaust and alternator bracket. Maybe it did those front-cross-member frame bolts, also. Don't remember any rust on my bus before....
