Searching for ideas!

Hey my GF and I are planning on starting a conversion this fall for our family of 5. We are from Eastern Missouri, I’m a paramedic and she’s a teacher and we have 3 girls. Thanks for all the input!

Yes sir, I’ve already been trolling like crazy! We are putting together a game plan for a build and I’ll have a million questions. Thanks for the reply!

Right now is the time to buy one, the auction sites are flooded with good deals right now. Quantity and quality fall off in the fall.

You know it’s funny when you said that I was actually looking at a few. You’re correct they are dirt cheap right now.

You know I fully believe that because a little while back the price was definitely higher but it is certainly more reasonable now. We are trying to estimate what length we would need for a family of 5, i.e. teen girls. So thinking quad bunks. This will not be a home to live in but more a of camping thing. Not sure boondocking will be in the future either.

What facilities will you want in the bus? kitchen? Bathroom / shower? Master bed or all bunks?

We aren’t looking to live in it but definitely looking to make it more like an RV. So we don’t really care if it’s got a bathroom but a good portion of the kitchen stuff. We will probably build in phases and add stuff in different phases, but I will start with the end in mind. Probably will do shoreline electric and generator back up as a possibility.
