Student transitioning to full time skoolie living!

Hey all! After ten years of dreaming about it, I'm finally buying a bus! I have a 4k budget for the bus, and 10k over ten months for the conversion. I'll be doing the conversion mostly on weekends while school is in session, and then every free moment over the summer. I'm totally open to ideas and suggestions and will be making a build thread (if allowed) to voice questions or comments throughout the build! (I also have an insta: the.roving.fae and have been playing with the idea of making a youtube channel)

I'm going to go ahead and post my timeline here for all you experienced skoolies to see, and hopefully comment on if something is unrealistic!

Feb 2019: Purchase deadline for my land-yacht
April 2019: Strip down and prep complete
May 2019: Subfloor and framing + insulation
July 2019: Electrical and plumbing
August 2019: Walls and built-in furnishing
September 2019: Appliances/HVAC
October 2019: Flooring and paint

WINTER 2019/20: Full time live-in test of the build!

And then in spring 2020 I'll make any revisions based on my live in run over the winter, as well as adding solar power generation and an auxiliary power bank to fall back on if needed! My goal is to be able to run 100% off grid by the time I transfer to university from the community college I'm at right now (Fall 2021)

Your time frame for purchase may end you up with bus inferior to what you might find if you take your time and find the right one. The bus is the basis of the build, start with the best you can.Your budget is reasonable, but now might not be the best time for deals.
What kind of bus are you looking for?

Since he hasn't been back since his first post almost 2 years ago, my guess is he never found a bus and went on with his life. Not often that someone will come here, buy a bus, and then never come back to the Bible site.
