Swamp Thing

Labor Day weekend Whiskey and Gin came to visit the Sikes Family in Houston and were discussing the newlweds upcoming move to the West Coast next March. It has been an ongoing debate on the best living situation for them and their dogs, Dimebag and DJ Weiner. An RV was a thought but after much discussion, the BUS became the front winner! Coincidently, Sikes, Whiskey’s best friend, had just seen a big GREEN bus on Facebook Marketplace. It was a sign because Gin’s favorite color is green and she was easier to convince than her husband. Whiskey and Gin had a week long discussion and said they were coming back a week later to BUY the bus. So September 10, Whiskey and Gin became the new owners to a Green “Ninja Turtle Bus” as the old owners called it. After considering many different names, the SWAMP THING was born. After just 1 week the bus has transformed from a dismal uninhabited area to a nice clean slate for the newlyweds new custom home. We pulled out old moldy floor, Gin vacuumed, cleaned, and sprayed for mold before we laid down new plywood. Gin laid down the ceremonial first floor tile at 8 pm after our long day then the artists had to get back to Austin to sleep before they woke up for Whiskey’s biggest show to date with the one and only Mike Jonez! It was amazing and the crowd was majestic! Check it out here

! It was even more confirmation that the bus is going to be great for these two to tour the country and continue to play music everywhere they go.
