Hello all, lurker/new member here. By way of introduction the name is buka.
Originally from the antipodes (New Zealand and Australia) for most of my life I have dreamed of the ultimate life on the road. Up until this point my trips to america have been a month or two every year, sometimes by motorbike, other times by van. I found the more I travelled the less I had travelled and for that reason I have been saving my sweet ass off to finally ge too this point.

Here we are, in the process of a purchase of a 2004 international (seen advertised recently here). There is a beautful feeling in the unknown that awaits, my adventure that will see me transverse across your beautiful country to explore, inspire and indulge in the beauty that is skoolie life.

I am a keen photographer and a novice when it comes to mechanical issues so you can expect to see me around here a lot more as I encounter all that comes with it. If you see me around be sure to drop by for a chat as I love to meet the community.

Glad you are jumping in with both feet, are you planing on staying here in the states as a full time skoolie owner, or are you going to pop back and forth down under.
Just wondering.

Hi don and Ellen, The plan is a this stage at least six months then it will come down to visas and finances to dictate my frequency and duration. I work abroad in Aisa so I will try to stay as long as they will let me, volenteering through sites such as workaway.com to enjoy a slower paced travel. Ideally I can see myself exploring america for the years to come along with my partner who is a US citizen. Thanks and travel safe friend.

Hey Buka, welcome to the fold. Nobody is an expert on everything, but if you've thought about how to make your bus someone here has usually gone through the process already. A whole bunch of us know a little bit about a lot of things, and then there are some experts that contribute valuable knowledge too that we all appreciate.

Agreed, but I must say- Cowlitz IS an expert when it comes to buses.
