Best shorty?
mine!

I've had two 6 window IC's and now a 5 window Thomas. I'd look for a DT466, Cummins 5.9, or Cat 3126. Doesn't matter much who built the bus.

A 5/6 window with a DT-466 and Allison 2000 would be sweet.

Looks like the DT 466 was the largest offered in a 6 window, at least in an international mid 90's. Looking casually for just the engine....Have bus, need engine, no hurry

Maybe be the first to have an 8.3 Cummins a CE bus?
You could simplify it by finding one that's all mechanical.

Our dream config was a 7-8 window like that, but ended up with an 11 window (DT466/2000) bus due to availability and price.

For sure be mechanical whatever I do. 8.3 seems like a good idea.
