Wannabe Skoolie Owner

Hi All,
I'm Cricket, a school teacher in Texas. I've always wanted to buy a bus and convert it for camping. I'm nearing retirement so I want to get going on this project. I'm thinking that a short bus is what I'm looking for, but, I'm not sure. I'm here to learn everything that I can. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions!

Hey Cricket, welcome to the site. Read all you can here and check out the pics and videos to learn everything you can before you start looking for a bus. Ask all the questions you want. I went with a 38' front engine bus. The rear 8' or so will be a garage space for my motorcycle and stuff. My usable living space is about 35' minus the 8' so I'm down to 27' already. It all depends on you and what you want to do with your bus. I would not buy from an area where they salt the roads in the winter due to rust. Its good to have you here.
