Well I finally did it!

After reading many hours on this site, asking around, and driving all over the Southeast I've finally taken the leap! I'm taking delivery on it this weekend.

It's a 2001 Thomas Saf-T-Liner, 36 foot pusher with a CAT 3128 and Allison MD3060. I would love to hear advice that you guys have - in general or about this specific bus.

It's scary and exciting to have finally taken the leap! Wish me luck!

That should read CAT 3126b - but you probably already guessed that. Just read the whole thread on unlocking 6th gear. That seems like a worthwhile endeavor! I need to get one of those letters and find my local Allison/Cat tech with the special laptop!

Your bus is perrrrrrdy.

You're probably still in the euphoric stage. Within the first few days you're going to start asking yourself what you've done. That builds into the backpeddling phase, but it's already to late. It all works out as long as you keep going, but there are going to be times when you re-examine your choices. The odd part is when your bus nears completion you'll start thinking of how you'd build your next bus differently.

That is a very nice looking bus. Enjoy the build.

That's great advice that has the ring of truth...wisdom gained from experience. I'm sure you're right. Nothing ventured nothing gained right!
