Where are you guys finding buses??
I have been living between govdeals.com, Craigslist, and public surplus for quite some time and just can’t seem to find a bus that I can win a bid on or buy outright.
Any other suggestions?

Just gotta keep bidding till you win one. I bid on a dozen or so a year and maybe win one.

As stated, it takes time and patience to find the right bus.
Maybe you'll need to allocate more funding if you're getting outbid on a regular basis?

Welcome to M and M Service and Salvage Yard Inc.
They aren't very friendly but they do have decent priced buses and you can test drive them and they don't go with you on the drive. Ruckersville VA
When I bought mine I had 70 to chose from.
Only reason I recommend them is because they have a selection to pick from, they will not stay a min over closing to help you and you better get there 3 hours before closing or you can forget it till the next day (found this out the hard way after a 6 hour drive there, was delayed because of snow and they sure won't tell you sorry about anything, it's just business there like dealing with a vending machine). They will get it started, pull it out of the cow pasture it's stuck in and then it's on you.

I had really good luck on ebid.nashville.gov when Nashville gets ready to get rid of a bunch of buses they do it 10-14 at a time for several weeks at a time usually Feb-March of each year. I have steered several people their way who have also had success. Metro Nashville has well maintained rust free buses that once you get past the point the the exporters are willing to pay your good. You won't steal a $1000-1200 bus but three grand is very doable.
