Didn't Crown also make some sleeper buses in the 1930s? I think they had underfloor Hall-Scott engines.
There's a company now trying to start a Los Angeles to San Francisco overnight service with converted Van Hool double-deckers - they look nice in their website, but I wonder about the economics of it: that very expensive bus is generating revenue for only half the time that most buses do, and I don't know if their pricing can compensate for that.
