Been up in Prudhoe Bay for work the last few days. There are several different style busses shuttling people around up here. This is the coolest[emoji41]

It’s containment for catching any potential spills. It’s a requirement within the oilfield for all parked vehicles, enforced by the oil companies themselves. They’re called “duck ponds”.

As soon as I saw the containment box I had visions of Bonneville where every competitors car or bike must be on a tarp nailed to the ground.

The guy I bought my bus from also converts schoolies to 4X4s by using parts from old army trucks. He had a nearly finished 29 foot Blue Bird that looked very cool. I did not ask what it would go for when finished because I could tell it would be well out of my price range.
