8.2L Detroit Deisel.

Is this a two stroke engine? Who has one and do you like it?

They are a 4 stroke V-8 diesel that could be had both with and without a turbocharger. They are similar to their older two stroke brethren in that they use unit injectors rather than an injector pump to raise fuel pressures like you might find on other buses.

Mine has a Turbo Charger. It is cool when your going down the road and it whistles.

I wish I had a turbo-charged one. Does anyone know if the turbo can be purchased and added to a non-turbo one?

Ahh, many thanks. Probably more money than I, or the wife is willing to let me, throw at it. It runs like a honey now, why mess with success?
