i had the exact same problem. I went to a local farm supply store (Bomgaars) and bought rubber hydraulic hose, then I went to the local hyraulic shop and purchased the correct fittings for the hose. Total cost for supplies was around $30. Keep the rubber away from the exhaust and you should be fine.
