I would say it would probably be decent buy. Can you test drive it before buying it? Do you know the mileage on it? Check the tire condition, also is it the front and rear air your referring to air ride or air conditioning?

Thanks for the help spgrogers. There seems to be a good amount of info on a normal medium duty school bus such as yours. I was more asking the community on this specific Transit bus. It's a very different animal from a school bus and wanted to see if anyone had some ideas on what the top speed of the 6V92T with an unknown allison transmission in a bus that was used to shuttle people to the ski area would be. Like I said, lots of info out there on gearing and top speeds of your typical T444E and DT466 but not this specific Orion One bus with the detroit.

How big is the bus?

You and I are very much in the same boat, except I'm in Summit County, and I have my heart set on a RE for the smoother, quieter ride. Let me know if you find any RE or FE buses that are in the 33- to 35-foot range. I'd love to show you some of the buses I'm looking at - all within a few hundred miles of here - all less than $7000.
