Air Entrance Door

Interested in some pro and con thoughts on this system as compared to standard manual opening by hand. Preferences, issues, problems and how they work?Thank you!

I have experience with only one air door - the one on my coach. It certainly works fine. However; I park for weeks at a time and I suspect I would run out of air at some point. So, I usually pull the air release/shut-off valve when I park (for an extended period) and just open/close the door manually. Mine has a manual latch inside which is keyed from the outside and that works great for me.

Not sure that helps...

Mine was an air operated inward folding door...

I opted to flip the leading piano hinge and make the center fold solid to create a 1 piece outward opening door. Haven't regretted it once in 18 months!

As a bonus, I pulled the air solenoid, shortened the line leading up above the door and tapped into the line to run an air nailer.

Door lock here: it's also been flawless

I have an air door question..

Can there be two toggles to open and close them?

Reason I ask is I was thinking I could have the normal toggle/switch in the cab that would open and close the doors, but then I could wire a keyed lock that would activate the contacts for a switch that would engage the open/close of the doors.

That would be a way of locking the doors when out.

I am just thinking aloud and wondering if that would work.
