I can't tell from the picture. It appears to be a propane appliance of some sort.
Is there a fan & air duct?

its a furnace.. if you look at the label it says "Gravity direct vent wall furnace" set up for Propane the label says LPG.. looks like 9000 input BTU and 6300 out.. appears to be an RV furnace of some sort.. manufactured by DUO-THERM / Dometic..

Please check those old gas appliances well, combustable gas in enclosed space is ....bad.
Carbon monoxide alarm is good insurance, too.
