ATX PC Power Supply to a 12 Volt Power Source

I made a 12 volt supply out of an ATX PSU to power some stuff when "on the grid". It was pretty straight forward but there were a couple of things I had to track down like which wire to connect to get it to turn on and the fact that you need a load on the 5 volt rail to get the 12 volt rail to produce good power.

See: http://www.vonslatt.com/bus-tron.shtml

Sweet! I've got a few of those power supplies laying around, methinks I might try one out!
I have been tinkering with utilizing PC & power supply cooling fans to circulate air throughout TWE. Have had some successful experiments, but nothing installed yet.
I'm also tinkering with (what I consider) unique (as I haven't seen them anywhere else yet) interior lighting options that are renewable source. (Details after more development & testing.)

I was thinking of getting some of those solar powered yard lights, taking them apart, and seeing what could be down with them.

HEY!! QUIT PEEKIN' AT MY NOTES! That's EXACTLY what I'm doing! I have the solar panel stuck on the outside of a window, and used dollhouse wiring tape to run the wire through the window channel (avoiding slightly open windows for wires), and have the light / circuit board temp-mounted where they will ultimately go. I plan to mount them under the ceiling cabinets for passenger reading lights / area lights. So far, the results are promising.
