Awning ideas

I have an awning from a fithwheel camper.
Any advice, wisdom about how to mount it on my bus from someone who has done it?

We will be doing this spring time (fingers crossed) several folks have done it over the years, biggest issue is leg length placement, I will have to fab something if legs are long (like alot of older awnings) measure from above the windows to bottom of body to see how much leg room you have

I would like to see if people have made or hybridized a awning? I know rv stuff is not very strong and would like to make my own but like to see what people did and what works what doesn't.

The awning that was on my bus was attached by self drilling screws.
