Batteries

This looks expensive.. What do y'all think?

Used Golf Cartt Batteries

I pass this place occasionally. If I'm right, they deal in golf carts. My guess is they're trying to dump dead batteries, get paid for it and save the recycling or dumping fees.

batteries

the prices look cheap to me,
the 12v batteries are probably 100 or 150ah each and new would cost 150 to 200 each,
If they were babied you might get 2 to 4 years of use out of them but if they were not treat well??
You would want have them charged well on one day, let them sit overnight and then measure their specific gravity to see if they are worth the price.

Batteries are a way off for me but it looked interesting.

All I'll be powering are fridge, microwave and some USB or 12 stuff. No ac yet though I might put a 12v extraction fan in the bedroom. That'll probably be a 12v computer fan.

Costco has new golf cart batteries for about $85-90. I know Trojans are expensive but $75 for a used 4 year old battery bouncing around in a golf cart seems steep.

I don't buy anything but Interstate's top of the line anymore.

I just put a $215 group 31 in my 86 Trans Am.

That is almost twice the size of the original battery. It will last 10 years or more in that application.

I use and sale lifeline batteries 100% made in the USA i use the 2 volt batteries so i have 6 batteries wired series x 2 banks give me 3 weeks of power in my rv without charging but i have 1000 watts of solar and 1000 watts wind turbine to keep them up and if that fails i have a 10k genet and a 4 k zantrex inverter/charger. the lifeline batteries will last around 10-15 yrs if you keep them in a climate controlled area and keep them clean from dust. they are AGM (absorbed glass mat) so they don't gas off or leak. great american made product.

Costco just changed the warranty from 3 year full replacement to 3 1/2 full replacement but no prorating after.

I just returned 2 group 65 batteries out of my Excursion because one was dead. It cost me $3.27 because they raised the core charge.
