Blue Bird turn signal failure?

I just bought a flat nose Blue Bird and plan to do a conversion over the winter. We made the 3 hour trip home just fine, it runs great and handles like an automobile. However, on the way home last night the turn signals stopped working. The tail lights, head lights and markers still work but the turn signals and four way flashers do not. I called the man I bought it from to ask wether he had ever experienced this and if he might know what the problem is. He stated that in the 3 years he had owned the bus that the turn sigals had always worked. The bus has been sitting for several months.
Does anyone know where I might start looking to find the source of this problem?

Re: Blue Bird turn signal failure?

Check your turn signal / 4-way flasher relay, it could be bad, or, in some cases, on double element bulbs if a flasher element burns out on one bulb, they won't flash. Usually though, the bulb with the working flasher element will light up but not flash. Do any of them light, but not flash?

Re: Blue Bird turn signal failure?

try the fuse....

my g/f had a problem where neither of her brake lights worked on her ford explorer. I told her that it's gonna be complicated, like a brake switch, relay etc. Turns out it was the simplest solution of all.....both bulbs were burned out. so don't rule out the bulbs.....
