bus chioce

Hello,

I am new to this and looking to buy a bus. I have been attempting to buy for a year now with not a lot of luck. seems they go a bit high around here. I found one but I have concerns because it is not a diesel. can any one give me an opinion on this combo?

1997 Chevrolet C60 School Bus 197,813 MILES 366 V8 AUTOMATIC TRANS

Thanks

I like the 366 engine, it is very durable and inexpensive to repair. Realistically it should last about as long as a V8 diesel. Gas mileage may be slightly less than a by 2-4 mpg but it is offset by lowered maintenance costs and sometimes cheaper gas vs diesel. How much do they want for the bus and what area of the country are you in?

That I can't answer. I have a diesel engine, air brakes, and automatic transmission and I have a flip front hood. It's ok though. Wait until...uh...the other Cheese gets to work on his bus. He'll be longing for a hood of any type.
