Bus length vs seating

I'm looking for a 40' bus, which appears to be 84 passenger, and all seem listed as such. Are there other common designations that would indicate a 40' bus?

Sometimes they cram them in there with seating for 90. Also look for 15 windows on a flat nose bus.

You can't really go by seating. My 40 ft rear engine was only rated for 54 passengers, it had 13 windows.

Huh! 13 windows still being 40' is new to me. I was thinking FE when I said 15 windows. Looks like RE is a bit different.

I'd have to be snorting crack to even think about hauling around 90 momma's little angels!

Driver window or entry door on passenger side don't count. As you can see in this picture, not all windows are the same size I didn't measure seat spacing before I took them out.(only experience I have is with my bus).

Max school bus length was 40 ft. until about 2001, now 45 but I think they are rare.

You can't tell length by VIN on a Bluebird.

Dang!
You never notice the different window sizes... Until you're concentrating on them.

Had mine a month before I saw fore & aft windows were different sizes

I didn't notice mine until I was stacking them after removal.
