A bus door with a built in lock, never heard of this before, and it works
Could you please post some more detailed photos of this door lock or email them to sailorsmuse@ gmail.com please. Thanks!

The door lock is a factory option the school district bought, it is built into the door, the key moves 2 rods that move out the top and bottom of the front door leaf since it overlaps the back door leaf, the rods go into holes in the top and bottom of the door frame. It would not be hard to duplicate on the back side of any 2 part door, pretty much just like an office cabinet lock

Could you please post a pic of the inside? I have the same hole, just no lock.

I really do not want to take the door apart, it is inside the door itself

We have one bus with that style of lock as well....this particular bus is kind of an oddball in the fleet since it also has blue interior, air ride seat and LED exterior lights which are not options we normally spec on our buses.
