Campground Drug Bust!

We apparently had a drug bust yesterday in our campground. Apparently the folks in a Winnebago (there's only two and one is unoccupied) were dealing drugs. David was home yesterday and din't know anything happened (I guess he was sleeping thru it). How do we know it happened... One of David's customers is a local cop. He wasn't in on the drug bust but (and this is the creepy part) he said... "you live in the southwest corner of the campground". Guess what. We live in the southwest corner of the campground. Does anyone else find this disturbing? Now the fact that they know we live in the campground isn't what gets us. I think about half the town knows we live in the RV park (there aren't but a few places to park an RV. But they pretty much know exactly what site we are in. We just find that a little creepy.

Re: Campground Drug Bust!

I'm not sure why it would make any difference one way or the other. There are plenty of deputys that know where I live, I doubt if any city cops do. Who cares?

We are at Exit 147. Casey's Socorro RV Park. The Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel in Bernardo is the only campground I know of at Exit 175 (Bernardo/Mountair Exit) and they are still open.

As for any cops knowing where I live. I've had cops in Fl & NC know where I lived but we were long term residents in those locations. We try to keep a low profile here. And we are on our second stay in this town. It IS a small town (we estimate about 2K folks but City website says different... I think the census also counted all the college students as "residents" and also got Socorro County confused with Socorro town). Considering how low a profile we try to keep and we are in a very quiet campground, It's a tad disturbing to find out that the cops know exactly where we live. I had heard that the cops here know where EVERYBODY lives. I have lived in too many small towns with corrupt cops for this to not bother me. Gotta get the bus to where we can move it to another town. Gotta make some $$ first! We have a Saturday thing in a week or so vending for the firefighters. hopefully we will make some good $$ there and I can get more paint for the bus! Bus has to be painted and tagged before we can leave. Today, I gotta paint the food cart and roll the roof with the stuff left over from the bus roof. Already rolled the roof (two coats) of the skoolie. So much cooler inside now. Boy that [url+http://www.henry.com/roofing/coolroo...olarflex]Solar Flex[/url] is really WHITE! We are figuring to move the end of September or October. But that may change.
