Camping in a lightning storm

Hi all...

It's been ... quite a while since I posted last. I hope everyone is doing well. (And if CadillacKid is still here, I have some questions for you about mini splits).

But this post is about lightning. We were in a state park a few weeks ago and got stuck in a thunder storm. A bolt of lightning hit extremely close to the bus, which got us talking about whether or not there is anything more that we could do to protect ourselves in storms.

From what I understand, you're pretty safe inside a bus as long as you don't touch metal connected to the outside. But I'm still curious if some of you are doing more in the event of lightning to protect both the bus and the people inside.

So what, if anything, do you do?
