AWWWWESOME!
I'll get ahold of the University tomorrow and if it doesn't come in tomorrows mail I'll tell them I'm sending "an agent on my behalf" to pick it up.
THANKS A MILLION!

When would be a good time next week for you? I'll call the school and tell them I'm sending "an agent on my behalf".
Still no title!!!

I'll be heading that way anyway on Wednesday. Otherwise, it's not too far away, I can always make an extra trip.

LMAO!!!! I talked to the director over there and it REALLY cheesed him off when I said that I'd had this van for over a month now and don't have a title. I REAALLY made him wimper a bit when I said "I've got a friend in Omaha that can be there next week to pick up my title and fedex it to me, can you have it ready?"
He's saying they'll have ANOTHER duplicate made and sent out monday morning.
I told him I'd trust having someone not employed at that office handle shipping it and he almost sounded like he was going to cry on his ride home from work.
I also had gotten a REALLY snarky, smartassed email from the lady who was my initial contact at the university, so I forwarded that to him as well. I think this part was crucial-

Legally I have 30 days to get this title to you. It will be mailed out on Monday
I don't think Jodie is gonna have a happy monday morning back from her second vacation in a month!
He really was adamant that they'd "make this right first thing monday". I told him if I didn't have the title by early next week I'd have the van towed somewhere as its illegally parked in my yard with no tag. And that I'd be sending University of Nebraska the bill.

Thanks for stepping up and being kind, Evertiro! I'll keep ya posted on what happens.

I really hate when people act like that... I mean you did your part.. you probsably payed extra to make sure the van was moved off of their property in art or less than the alotted time...

and in most cases Roxy would be 100% right in saying mail the title separately as it is signed.. I never liekd it if a vehicle was shipped to me and the title and keys were all together with it...

when I got my red bus I had to go make sure I had the RIGHT title.. at the lot was just a guy with a big old fistfull of titles.. and he said he had possibly mixed up the lot numbers.. so i verified it with the VIN on the bus to be 100% sure...

maybe thats why schools are in so much trouble lolol

I'm just shocked at the amount of effort this is taking.
I'll have to just relax and roll my own till something gives. I've been assured by the boss of the dept that I'll have my title fedexed monday.
