Cleaning and polishing the front entrance door handle

We know that nowdays, not too many buses are out on the road that still has the old school manual door control. I liked the ones that were designed in the 1960s Carpenter had the best for the conventional in the early 1960s on the Vistaramics. Then in about 1966, they redesigned the handle to where part of it is fatter than the previous one but then in about 1968, they went back to the skinny type. But many of them as the buses aged, sometimes some of the guys has to find ways to give them a deep cleaning and a polishing to make the handle look like brand new. To my eyes, the front door leaf on the Vistaramic Carpenter buses were a fraction shorter on the 24-passenger models and the 36-passenger models than on the large capacity types. Also many of them were painted a 2-tone green. The upper part was light green while the lower part was a darker green.
