Re: Congrats are in order...
It's a girl!... Hannah Layne Briggs was born yesterday at 10:48am. Since I'm such a dork I took about 150 pictures and a bunch of videos.
here's a few pictures of her, if anyone's interested.
I also uploaded a video on youtube, she was born c-section, because she was too large (she was over a week late) anyway WARNING about the video - you see my girlfriends guts hanging out at one point. It's nothing worse than you'd see on the discovery channel though.
I'm only home for a few hours to get some pictures developed and run a few errands. Then it's back to my brick like chair/fold out bed at the hospital. Good thing I was tired or I wouldn't have gotten any sleep.

Awwwww.... Congrats! My wife had a C-section last year when our daughter was born. So, I'm not going to watch your video! Seeing it once is enough. That baby will be running around in no time tearing up the house! My little girl is. She's 14 months old now. You have bunks in that bus right?

"What's that big sack hanging out?"
"The uterus"
"Oh...does that go back in?"
What a pretty little girl, Phill. Congrats to the whole family.

Re: Congrats are in order...
Congratulations on your baby girl. Better build a few bunk beds, because before you can turn your head a few times you will have your house full of little guys / girls running around. (I speak from experience)

Congrats are in order,
Like every man needs a groove shack to hang out in, every man also needs a lovely little sweet angel. I've got one.
She's 13 and I still can't get enough of her. Sincere congrats!

Congratulations, Phill!
Spoiling daughters is almost as much fun as working on a school bus. I can remember when my minion was looking out at the world, angry about being here.
Somethings haven't changed. She still gets angry, 15 years later.

Re: Congrats are in order...
Wow thanks guys... I already have bunks in the bus, so that's no problem. Our first room in the hospital had this cool couch/bed thing that I really want to put in the bus. I wish I could find a picture of one of them. Basically it's a long couch that you can pull the back of the couch over the bottom and it makes a very nice twin size bed. We're staying another night in the hospital tonight, if I see another one I'll take a few pictures of it.
Here's a funny picture, I scanned her baby picture and my baby picture side by side.
I think she looks just like me.
She was 8lbs 6oz. and 21" long, she's completely healthy. About an hour after she was born she garfed down a full bottle in the recovery room. They said we could come home today but my girlfriend is still pretty sore and wanted to stay another night.
Thanks again for all the comments guys.

Re: Congrats are in order...
she does look like you
are you talking about a Futon?
from this to this
they come in all kind of different sizes and frames, Wooden, metal etc.
Some are easier adaptable to RV needs then others. Best is go to IKEA or similar place and try them out.
Look for space needed to lay them flat. Some you litteraly have to pull forward and then lay them down where others (the one you want for RV) the main frame legs stay in the same place and the matress part slides forward. (need about 4-6" clearence to wall) This type you could fasten to the floor for safety reason.

Congats. I'm very happy for you two (+1). Enjoy the time while they're growing up because it happens fast. Mine just turned 21 and is in her last year of college.

Re: Congrats are in order...
OK I got some pictures of that fold up bed/couch thing, it's not like a regular futon. I guess these pictures can explain how it works better than I can.
Here it sets as a couch:
Seconds later it's a bed:
Some rooms have these built in, so they can be mounted flush to the wall. I looked allover it for a tag or a plate to see what it's called or who makes them but I couldn't find anything. I'd really like to get one for my bus.
I also posted a video of it in action.

Re: Congrats are in order...
yes, that looks like a sweet couch, futon thingy ma ding. Let us know what you can find out about it. Probably very expensive special made for the hospital. Ask them they might have some that are due for replacement.
