E-Books

Thought I would share a few free e-Book links. You can download "Kindle for PC" and not buy a Kindle to read Kindle books from Amazon. You can read them on any desktop/laptopPC. I sure some of you are already familiar with some of these links but others may not be. Some of these are tech books.

Re: E-Books...FREEBIE RVing Book

"How NOT To RV". It's funny. some things the writer is way off on. But overall it's a good read. But it's a Kindle so you need to have either a Kindle or the Free Kindle for PC or one of their other apps. You might find other free Kindle eBooks at ereaderIQ that you would like too.

I checked out some of the Maxie & Stretch books (Sue Henry) at the local library (I can also check out ebooks). Light weight mysteries. I inhaled "The End of the Road" , "The Serpent's Tail" & "The Tooth of Time" in less than 2 days. Better than Harlequin Romances (bubble gum for the brain). Good travelogue for the areas tho. Get ideas for places to visit. Maxie is an "older" woman who lives part time in a Class C. Stretch is her dog. May be a good read for the spouses who can't seem to warm up to the idea of RVing.

I read mine off my desktop computer (haven't set up the laptop yet). I downloaded the free Kindle for PC and then read the books in Full screen. I can even enlarge the text as big as I want.I'm still getting my computers and printer put together. I bought a Belkin Wireless G router at a yard sale for $1 and hooked it up to my desktop with a $1 cable from dollar tree. This allowed me to set my new Kodak Hero printer up wirelessly. Eventually I will be able to use the wi-fi router so the laptop , printer and desktop all "talk" to each other. I'm working on figuring out how to use a Hi Def TV as a monitor and a TV. I would like to see if I can put all my DVDs on USB thumb drives (MP4). I have a lot of movies and the one I brought with me are taking up a lot of space in the bus. The rest are in storage. For me, its about fitting everything within the small confines. I really don't have a place to sit and look at a dedicated monitor. Need to acquire a wireless keyboard & mouse again (battery vampires... suck the life right out in a very short time) or get longer cords.

Who needs smart phones and Kindles? Besides, I want a Nook... when they make a colour Nook with a backlight to read in the dark.
