We see population crashes all the time in nature and we humans aren't exempt from natural laws. Disease and starvation will control our numbers if we don't control them ourselves.

As humans, we do what we should do, but only after trying everything else.

I don't know who here is fat and I don't care. I'm not pointing at anyone directly.

The "American Dream" as was portrayed in movies is what I'm talking about.
I know we have it far better here in Canada than you folks down there below the 49th.

I don't need to show sources for my info. It's Fact that without fossil fuels, 3 to 4 billion people will starve to death in the first year.

Again, I don't need to show sources for my info about food waste. Just open your eyes and look around. Work in a grocery store. You will see it too.

This /\ /\

I'm doing what I can to live through this by staying in better health than 98% of my fellow man.

As my signature states.

Nothing you wright on this forum has any credibility to me. I'm glad we feel the same way about each other.

Well, facts require proofs/sources. That's how their shift from intuition/opinion to facts.

Again, I don't need to show sources for my info about food waste. Just open your eyes and look around. Work in a grocery store. You will see it too. Food waste is widely agreed upon and heavily discussed in the book btw.Sources for that are VERY easy to find.
I do love a good discussion, I just don't want to get in internet fights over this. I just suggested a good read. That's it.

Not trying to be snarky, but how is it so much better up there? My travels in Canada led me to see you folks as pretty much just like us, living standard wise. The main difference I saw was the whole kilometer/liter/dollar conversion thing. I've worked with three Canadian nationals and two of them now live here in the Detroit area.

For the record, let me say that we Yanks are VERY happy to have you folks on our northern border.

It's not "any better". Each country has things it does well and things they don't.
The norther part of the US is Exactly the same as souther Canada. There are many places I would live in the states, others I don't ever want to go to. The same goes for Canada.

The only reason I like Canada more is that there is less people.

This is what I like most.

Less competition for resources. Fewer people looking at me saying no to my freedom.
