I have a car stereo system sitting in my garage and I would love to see it in my skoolie some day if I ever decide to pull the trigger. It has blue tooth, rear camera, GPS, satellite radio, CD/DVD player, amp and subwoofer. I'd like to turn the front part of the bus into a home theater when it is not used for dining, driving, and hanging out. The biggest part of my idea is instead of having curtains for the windshield when the bus is parked, I would have a piece of finished plywood hinged above the windshield with a 40-50" flat screen mounted on top to swing down and connect to the bus stereo system. I could have surround sound and a TV on the windshield.
I want USB charging outlets in front and back. Would standard 12V outlets look tacky or be worth the trouble? I could always mount them in hidden places for car based appliances. Fans, portable coolers, maybe a power supply for a laptop.
All 12V LED lighting. I would like as little AC power as possible. LEDs are efficient and make good night lights also.
Outside USB, DC, and AC electrical outlets for outdoor living. Kept away from water sources of course and preferably near a passenger side awning.
Any other electrical suggestions?
