Hey All,
I'm going to be making a trip back to Illinois in a few months & I'll be just a couple hours away from Elkhart & I've heard it's the RV supply of the world,Question I have is would it be worth my time & money to make the drive over & pickup supplies and carry them back with me, I'll have a trailer and room to carry everything, Im thinking a couple roof AC units, Fridge, waterheater, power panel & other supplies.

I've long heard the same. Let us know what you discover...with pix, of course.

There are/were a couple of surplus places that I stopped at coming back from New York. They had stuff from all the builders that bit the dust after 2008. The economy is a little better than those days.

Yes, although there are less of the big ticket items you mention. Johnson's and Bontragers just across the state line in White Pigeon, MI are probably your best bet. RV Surplus sometimes has some good stuff in the back. Stay away from RV Parts Nation in Elkhart. Too expensive. I have a list posted here. It's fairly current RV Surplus stores
