Fun and frollick in an 04 Jeep

Here is a good example of what not to do with your 2004 Jeep Wrangler columbia edition with only 10K miles on the vehicle. My buddy and i took his jeep out wheelin' the other day.

Notice that the fuel filler cap is completely submerged. Water in the fuel tank does wonders for the performance of your engine! (mostly spitting and sputtering, and a big lack of power)

Brings to mind some of my old four-wheelin' days with my Land Cruisers Also brings to mind something I read ages ago in a Four Wheeler mag. . . "When in doubt, walk it out". Words of wisdom to be sure. It has kept me from being the featured "Worst Stuck" photo on more than one occasion! I too, hope she "cleans up good"! (Something also to be said for waterproofing & snorkle systems.)

i'm pretty sure it's up real high in the engine compartment attached to the firewall on the pass side. That little box looks like the PCM if i were gonna guess.

I like it. He's actually using a Jeep like it was built for.

I doubt he hurt a thing.

Note to self

Note to self: do not take the Little Damn Jeep out for a drive in the country with Lapeer.

Ya know...If you had slammed the airbag sensor real hard on the driver's side, it probably would have floated it...

it didn't look that deep!

A few years back i had no trouble at all driving my F250 with front and rear lincoln lockers and 38 super swampers through that same hole.

His jeep is fine by the way. We did have to drop the fuel tank because the anti-roll over check valve that keeps fuel from flowing out of the filler tube was stuck and woulnd't allow a person to put fuel into the tank. Also had the check engine light on, probably from the water in the fuel. Cylinders #2345 were not fireing properly according to the computer readout. Suprisingly changing the spark plugs seemed to make her all better.

I agree that it is nice to see jeep owners out using their vehicles off road.
