Tell them you have a GMC 6000 or a Chevy C-60 and everything should be kosher.

Your 350 is a small block. It is, however, an industrial version. Chances are the internals are all forged. Those motors are highly prized by engine builders because they're a cheap source of strong parts. The output is up or down epanding on what other 350's you look at, but they will last forever. As for specs, I'm not sure, but I'm sure if you google "industrial 350" you should get something back.

Generally speaking, the HD 350 will have:
Forged steel crank with HD rods (not unlike what a high-performance engine uses...in fact, I think the 350 in the Z/28 used the same parts)
4-bolt main block, possibly high-nickel casting
Heavy pistons with thick domes & maybe an extra ring
Deep (6-7 quart) oil pan, possibly high-volume pump & oversized filter
Stainless exhaust valves with hardened seats & valve rotators
Possibly even stainless intake valves
Low compression
RPM governor on either the carb or distributor

Low compression? <---- not as bad as it may sound. You won't have a hot rod off the line but you'll have so much torque (pulling power) you'll be able to climb trees with it!
