If you ever get up to Philly you can give mine a test spin. I drove a friend's Miata once and that got me on the roadster bug and intending to buy a Miata specifically, but I sort of accidentally bought the Z3 instead. It definitely has more oomph than a Miata (2.5L 6-cyl) and corners ridiculously with the fat tires and cambered rear wheels, but the maintenance costs are a lot higher (for example, I don't think any set of tires has ever lasted me even 10,000 miles).

Z3 is also the best-looking of the roadsters, of course.

IF I ever buy another car it WILL be a mazdaspeed edition miata.

But- a 2.5 six banger in a little roadster does sound pretty fun, too.

If I'm ever in Philly I'll buy you a beer at the Celtic Supporters pub! AFTER I try out that Z3. An old buddy of mine has a vintage typewriter repair store in Philly. I'd love to get up there some time.

Won't that exceed the towing capacity...?

I had the worst time swapping the battery today. got it all turned around and touched the wrong leads together. Damn I'm clumsy and dumb. So once I got the battery actually installed I had to go to the parts store for an 80 amp PAL fuse to replace my main fuse that had blown.
Now my CEL is on. Gonna try to get it over to oreillys tomorrow and have them scan it. Hoping its something simple like I fried a few diodes in the alternator or something.
Car runs great though. Feels a good bit peppier. I wonder what's up. any opinions, thoughts?

Pretty sure the engine computer did not like seeing the reverse polarity. The check engine light is probably noting that event. Since reverse polarity is not normally encountered, it is considered a serious event for the computer. I am pretty sure the scan will tell the same story and the falts can be reset.

. turns out it blew the "room fuse" in the interior fuse box. bought a big assortment of these mini size fuses so I'll have em handy. I had some in my garage but a roof leak has ruined a lot of my stuff the fuse assortment i'd had was corroded to hell.

GLAD to have cel off and the car 100% again. I figured out it was that fuse when the radio, dome light, and a couple other things didn't work.

Sure was scary. I hate electricity stuff!
