Happy 1 year anniversary Skoolie Doo

1 year ago today, my life changed forever. At this point I have been searching for buses for 7 months. Losing out on auctions to the same turd bus dealer flippers. I was going to be patient and not bid up on something I know I could have for less. I lost out on a few bids of TC1000's, a vista in AZ, and some more that I just watched as the price climbed more than I was willing to pay.

Just 70 miles south of me in Oregon, I have been watching this bus and started bidding on it. For me it was perfect in length. It fit almost all of my criteria. I set a proxy bid and waited with anticipation. Seconds ticked away as I was anticipating someone to out bid me. To my dismay, the auction had officially ended, and I had won my bus. I was both nervous as hell and super excited. I tried some tactics in the question section of the auction to try and deter others from bidding on it, such as pointing out some expensive fixes that needed to be done. Not sure if it worked but, hey, I got my bus. One thing that helped was in the description of the bus it stated that there was a bad injector. (come to find out, all 8 where just replaced) The records that came with the bus were meticulously kept.

2 days later my neighbor came with me in my truck to go collect the bus. I packed some tools not knowing what to expect. It all went without a hitch. The bus actually had 3/4 of a tank of fuel which was a nice surprise!

$2100 later, I now owned a bus. A rust free bus. A bus named Skoolie Doo.

1 year later, progress has been slow due to the happenings of life. I am eternally grateful for this site that has given me so much knowledge and has kept me motivated.
