Fulltiming camo bus

Good luck camo bus! It sounds like you have a solid foundation to work with. Now it's gravy!!

I understand the combined stress of university and bus conversions. Good luck and just remember - All you have to do is get up every day, the rest will work out.

I'v been full-timing for about 2 years now, first in a mini (and I mean MINI)-camper and moved into my bus in August '04. I am having to convert it while living in it. My job takes the bulk of my time, but in my off-time, bus-tinkering, constant repairs to my toad, reading, and my computer fill in the little bit of leisure time I have.

Yeah, just getting up is a pretty good start! Don't worry though, once you get going in college, studying will occupy a great deal of time (they still do that in college, don't they?), and ultimately, you'll be so obsessed with playing with your bus like the rest of us bus-junkies, that the days will just disappear!

Good luck & have fun!

New Bus

Hi J.B. , J.B. here. Small world isn't it. You may be aware that I live on Fir Island just north of Seattle and my friend Ron in 'Thundercoach' lives on 205th in North Seattle. We both have Crowns (Mine is 'FARTHER') and Ron is fully operational and leaving this morning for a little trip down to the peninsula.

Where exactly do you live . You have tremendious head start on the person who just buys a bus with nothing done to it. I just finshed my toilet install after 10 days and that included a custon welded plastic tank and welding in the brackets to hold it.
Stay in touch and possibly Ron and I could visit.

I think I'm sorta going through the "fulltime blues".
any other fulltimers have any advice on not going crazy?
I guess the transition from apartment to bus have been alittle stressfull.

thanks for reading, and thanks in advance to all the old pro's who's brains I'll be picking.

Hey! Sounds like you're having lots of fun, to me. Isn't fun all about waiting for the next shoe to drop, and running down to the hardware store to spend $50 on another "oh, yeah, I need..."?

Advice on not going insane: start by being insane -- it shortens the trip. I know, believe me.

Welcome to the forum!

One of my favorite quotes and I think I saw it right here on Skoolie.

"YOU ARE LAUGHING AT ME BECAUSE I AM DIFFERENT. I AM LAUGHING AT YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE THE SAME AS ALL THE REST."
