How to carry a boat on the roof rack

Came across this gem today on a local news outlet. It seems a pickup truck towing a boat was waiting at a traffic light when it was rear-ended by another pickup truck. The boat was launched up onto the roof of the towing truck! Woman injured after rear-ending boat, sending it over truck | KSL.com Looks like the boat came out alright, but its trailer not so much.

I think someone just invented a new roofmount for a boat.

I am actually planning on putting a Livingston 14' boat and trailer on top of a bus. We will use a winch and a loader system to put the boat up top. The trailer will have large sand wheels for beach launching down in Baja.

Actually have seen several on Big Expo rigs, used the rubber boat pulleys horizontal and vertical to control movement and a roof mounted winch

motor was attached to "faux" transom mounted on rear
