How to remove a Bendix Caliper off the bus?

I've got a 1995 Thomas International Bus.
I've got one brake in the front that has been getting hot. With the wheel of the ground it is hard to turn. I pulled the wheel off and now I'm trying to figure out how to get the caliper off. I pulled a locking screw off the holds the piece (with the white arrow on it) that I think I need to pull off from moving. I think if I can get this piece off then the whole caliper will come off. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or that there is just so much rust that its making it hard to slide off. I'm getting some movement, but it only goes so far in the direction of the arrow. Has anyone got experience with such large brakes?
Thanks, Dave

I was gonna say, all you had to do was knock that piece out of there!
