i could tell by reading the post that the bus is canadain. I think the term washroom gave it away.

anyhow

looks like an excellent bus, and much much better deal than the last one.

Hey! In elementary school all we had were washrooms (bathrooms) and cloak rooms (closets) and believe it or not, the Mesaba Iron Range is NOT Canada.

hmm somhow i tought this bus was in Saskatchawan, but by rereading the add I relized its in southern Ontario. 3850km going through the states. Way to far again.

why cant they have any nice buses around here

sniff, somebody bought it with the buy it now option. Just as I was checking out how much it would cost me to fly down there and get it.

Funny, Jason would have had to drive SOUTH to pick up that bus in Canada from the states. That's almost as good as Minnesota's Northwest Angle where you either have to drive into Canada, fly, snowmobile, or take a boat to get to the US from the US. I feel sorry for those people in the spring and fall when the lake is somewhere between hard and soft water season...they have to trek into Canada to get everything they need to live.

turns out this sale seems to be a fraud anyway. Got a second chance offer from the seller, offering me to sell me the bus at my highest 5010$ and to contact him on his personal e-mail.
Then a warning letter from e-bay, that this second chance offer seems to be fraudulent.
I sent an e-mail to the seller anyway and got this back today.

I had a fraudulent ebay second chance offer on a bus too. I didn't catch on immediately, but a few things sent up red flags. First of all, they seemed to be in a big rush for me to pay for the item....trouble there was, the auction terms indicated I had 10 days to pay for it... Second thing that caught my eye was the seller wanted the money sent to him in Florida... Huh? The bus is located in Hartford Conn, why would the money go to Florida? I decided to just sit back and see where all this was going because I was getting an un-easy feeling about this... Then when they emailed me again and told me that if I would submit payment right away they would include free shipping.

OK...now that really got my attention, they are going to provide free shipping on a 30,000# bus 600 miles away? Yeah right...

That is when I sent a copy of everything to mailto:'spoof@ebay.com" and stopped responding to the guy....

Don't ever go for a second chance offer, they are almost always fraudulent!!

it's always good to be careful, but i sold a truck on a 2nd chance offer. The winning bidder was unable to come up with the money.

Yeah, for some reason people in Nigeria really like me. Once I was selling a Mercedes for 50k

(I ended up having to change my PayPal account because it was actually listed on eBay in my name!), a couple of weeks ago I sold some kind of jewelry

, and about two months ago I was selling a CAT bulldozer

. Most of them just show up in an email and not my eBay account, so I don't worry about it.
I sold a bus a couple of years ago with a second chance offer, but by the time the transaction got that far the buyer and I were talking on the phone.
When I was shopping for my bus last summer/fall it seemed like there was someone (in Florida?) that bought cheap/broken buses on eBay and then would turn around and sell them at double or triple the price w/ a one year warranty and the p/u location would be where the bus originally sold from. I guess that's business but he would advertise them as running flawlessly and I doubt that he would actually go to NV or MN or wherever and actually fix the problem. Who knows, maybe it was the same guy GoneCamping was dealing with.
I guess when it comes to buying a bus the best bet is to actually do the old-fashioned thing and pick up the phone.
